If Your Phone Is An IPhone And You Don’t Use Android Phones, Carlinkit 3.0 Is Enough For You.

Really in love with this purchase—it makes driving so much easier. The device is small enough to hide under my infotainment system, and the connection is stable and fast. I got this for my 2022 MG Astor.
Sharing my car with family who use iPhones made plugging in every time annoying. Carlinkit 4.0 solved this perfectly, supporting both CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly.
It handles multiple phones seamlessly, connects quickly after boot (about a minute), and is just as responsive as wired connections. Audio lag is minimal, and the connection feels very stable—better than my X1’s factory wireless CarPlay.
Setup was easy, and overall it’s a great value add for my Polo, even if the price isn’t cheap.
Easy to use with iPhone on iOS 14—just pair in a few steps, and it auto-connects every time you start the car.
I’ve only had the Carlinkit for a week, but it works perfectly on my 2021 Camry Hybrid. Boot-up and connection aren’t instant, but it’s hardly different from a wired connection. Performance feels the same, and it’s much more convenient—highly recommended.
I love just getting in my car and having Apple CarPlay start automatically—no wires, no buttons, and flawless performance. Unlike other reviews, I haven’t noticed any lag. It usually resumes exactly where I left off, whether on CarPlay or the default Toyota screen.
My only minor gripe is that the audio sometimes switches from the car radio unexpectedly—but that’s likely a CarPlay issue, not the device. I’ve placed it with a 3M sticker out of the way in our late-model Toyota Sienna, and it fits perfectly.
