I. Core Functions
Magnetic Soft-Close, Elegantly Say Goodbye to Pressing: Utilizes advanced magnetic locking technology. Simply lower the lid to the half-closed position, and the latch will automatically engage and lock, effectively protecting the trunk lid from wear or dents caused by forceful pressing.
Fully Intelligent Control: Deeply integrated with the Tesla system. You can unlock directly via the in-car screen, the Tesla App, or the physical button on the trunk lid—a seamless operation.
Safety Protection Logic: Automatic engagement is triggered when the lid is within 5mm of the latch. If there is no operation within 90 seconds, the system will automatically lock, effectively preventing accidental activation and ensuring absolute driving safety.
Aerospace-grade durable materials: The lock body is made of a high-strength alloy that is corrosion-resistant and oxidation-resistant, and internally equipped with a high-torque, low-noise motor (less than 50 decibels), providing consistently stable performance in a quiet environment.

This was easy enough to install. Total install time was about 30 minutes on account of my OCD, but would’ve been a bit faster after having watched the installation videos on here and on YouTube.
Literally just lightly drop the hood down and it does the rest to close and lock it. I think I’ll be using the frunk a lot more now that I have this and don’t have to worry about closing it as carefully as possible.
I installed this on my 2021 Tesla Model Y, and overall, it’s a great upgrade. The installation itself is pretty straightforward — all the connectors fit perfectly and nothing had to be modified.
Model 3 Performance 2025. Great value and should be stock.
I installed this kit myself. I was hesitant at first because, let’s be honest, no one wants to mess with the hidden technologies of their Tesla for fear of bricking the car. This actuator is designed to fit into the stock position with the stock bolts and to integrate seamlessly with the stock Tesla function. This translates to: zero fear of bricking the car. It doesn’t need any software update to the module or the car, it functions “on top” of Tesla’s mechanics and relays.
So finally I decided to install this mod to my Tesla Model Y Juniper. Let me tell you I was a little hesitated and nervous to do it. But once I was done, I was like why did I waited so much. This is so great. Just what it needed. This should have been something come from the factory. Installation was easy.
